Please follow this link to my blog, where I updates on my career and life can be found:
www.NathanHeigert.com went live on February 8th, 2007. My updating process will most likely be sporadic, but I will try to indicate on this page when new material goes up. News below blog link.
Many new changes. I've set up a blog to try and stay more up to date. Big news is that I've moved to San Francisco, not exactly on a whim, but truly without employment lined up. Time will tell if this gamble pays off. New designs and conceptual illustrations added as well.
Wow! After a lonnnnnggggg hiatus, I'm back with new stuff! As you might have seen, there is a totally new section dedicated to my graphic novel that I've toiled over for the last seven months. Now hopefully I'll be able to have time for more fresh illustrations.
New illustrations! "Don't Tread On Me" and "House."
Check this out, this is really cool. I illustrated this cityscape for a clothing company, which they've cleverly animated. The company is called Rock'n Clothing, and you can see it here.
I ran out of room on the main illustration page, so now there are two. I hope you enjoy seeing as the second page fills, hopefully with professional pieces.
And boy, is it a good one! Presenting my thesis project for my senior year at WashU. It''s called "The Edutastic Adventures of Mr. Neuron," and it is a parody of educational cartoons and a satire of public paranoia and mass hysteria in the U.S.
And since I'm on the subject, more news: I'M A GRADUATE! I will use this freedom to look for illustration and design work before my loan officer starts to show up.
New concept art!
I've uploaded some older sketches I made from years back. Check back soon for more designs and my latest animation.
Has it been so long since I last updated? Well, I've been busy. I've just concluded a new animation on a flashy DVD, however I'm afraid it will not be uploaded until I find some awards to submit it to. In the meantime, I've added several new editorial illustrations and a cartoon for Fey & Co. jewelers in Chicago. Actually, I've only uploaded the rejected cartoon, the one they actually used is on their website here.
Also, I've joined the artist community at illustrationmundo.com. Check it out!
I spoke too soon last time. I've added a 6-piece series that I drew throughout the 2004 presidential collection, which acts as a long, detailed political cartoon. Also, I've included some storyboards in the film section.
The reason its so time consuming to update is that I make my pages with Image Ready and import them into Dreamweaver, where I have to manually remake every link everytime I change the page.
New film section!
Now we've reached some level of completion: videos and animations are up and running. You need to use flash to view, but for the most part they're very fast-loading. I can finally stop updating!
I've added six sections to the art gallery page: illustrations, design, film, sketch, concept art, and photos. This effectively has quadrupled the art section. However, videos for the film section are not up yet. Hopefully I will figure that out soon.
First update! A new page for news and links! Holy crap! Next up: an extended art gallery.
